About Us

It was the Friday night before Christmas 2006 and as all good single people do, Anthony and Catherine were both partying with friends at an inner city pub.

Catherine and her mates were trying to get through the crowd to the bar for a drink when a couple of guy’s (all over 40 years) stopped them for a chat.  Who would have thought that the opener “Can you dance?” would lead to meeting a life long partner!

One dance, lead to a romantic dinner in Williamstown, which lead to lots of other dates, then spending Easter with the Simcox family and a birthday party with the Viney family.

Then in August 2007 over a latte at the South Melbourne market, Anthony said “lets build a house together”.  So a beautiful parcel of land was found in South Morang.  By the end of September, Catherine had said good-bye to her South Melbourne lifestyle and the Donvale Bachelor pad was transformed into their family home.

Christmas, birthdays and all sorts of other milestones came and went.  Then September 2008, the scene was the Viney family holiday to Fiji.  Anthony and Catherine’s parents had been scheming for other five months.  The scene was at the Bebe lookout, Carol Coast and Anthony presented Catherine with a ring box which she opened.  Anthony looked at Catherine as she opened the ring box and said “so is it a yes”.  No way was Catherine going to let him not say all the correct words, so then Anthony said “will you marry me”.  YES.

Following Simcox sibling tradition, Anthony and Catherine will wed in front of family and friends on Australia Day, 26th January 2009.
